Thanksgiving Morning Breakfast Shake

Thanksgiving Morning Breakfast ShakeGet ready for Thanksgiving Day with an excellent Thanksgiving Morning Breakfast Shake for breakfast. You will probably already have the ingredients on hand. Be sure to set aside a heaping cup of fresh or frozen cranberries before making cranberry sauce.

Sweet and sour blend perfectly in this lively, deliciously smooth shake. It’s like a party in your mouth. If you don’t like it too sweet, omit or reduce the maple syrup, it will still be sweet. However, the maple flavor adds a nice warmth to the blend.

Thanksgiving Morning Breakfast Shake

16 oz. green tea, including leaves*

1 Tbsp chia seeds

2 Tbsp maple syrup

1 banana

2 cups spinach

1 cup cranberries

Add ingredients in the order listed, then blend in high powered blender. With a regular kitchen blender, add tea, syrup, banana and spinach and blend until smooth. Add cranberries and blend again until smooth.

*Cut open a tea bag. Pour loose tea leaves into a quart jar. Pour boiling water over the tea and let steep for 10 minutes. Use warm or refrigerate. There is evidence suggesting that taking the entire tea leaf is a little bit more effective than drinking the tea without the leaves retained.
